Our Future

Christ Church parishioners seek to strengthen and enhance our ministries. We welcome visitors and new members. Christ Church serves as the parish for all nearby Episcopalians, some life-long and many from other traditions. Parishioners express their appreciation for the Anglican tradition of corporate worship. We embrace the church as a community of friendly people, an extended family. We come here to worship, for absolution, healing, renewal, direction and growth; and to support others in their ministries. We wish to continue those outside ministries already established and seek to expand opportunities like those through the Clearinghouse and Hanover College.

We recently completed a capital campaign to stabilize the Church building and Rectory. We have updated our heating and cooling systems, re-roofed the Rectory and the steeple, "jacked up" the north and south walls of the church, and made other improvements.  In Spring/Summer 2016 we will tuckpoint the west wall of the Church and the four walls of the Rectory.

Future plans include: to restore floors, and to establish an endowment for maintenance. The Rectory could be restored as a residence or repurposed for expanded ministries. We look forward to renewing Christian education both for adults and for youth. And we are working to involve new people in the life of the parish.
